	Hand-crafted by WPA artisans in 1937, Timberline Lodge is the reflection of Mount Hoods awe. While it took three months just to clear the road to the site, workers wasted no time in hewing a monument and masterpiece from surrounding materials. A National Historic Landmark, Timberline is furnished with original paintings, carved linoleum, mosaic glass, sculptured wood, stone and metal such as you won't find in any museum. Year-round, nearly two million vistors make this their mountain home. I
